Dear Mariel, when I started reading your second book, I was very moved by how grounded and how introspective you were. I was also very touched that you are in partnership and a close marriage, seeing that these days this is a rare situation. But when I read your blog that you were separated with your ex-husband, I was so disappointed. When I read that you have again fallen in love so soon, I felt angry. I tried not to judge you but I was really upset! I felt like you were a hyprocrite trying to justify yourself! I didn't feel like you were a "mentor" for me anymore. I didn't want to read your books, nor your news or listen to any of the shows that you were on. It took me awhile, and I finally realised that I'm just really scared. I'm very afraid as all the women who chose the journey of self-discovery and self-empowerment seemed to have left their previous marriage and went on to look for another relationship/ being on their own. I am afraid that by being empowered and chosing to live for ourselves would mean that we are no longer able to sustain a happy, connected and loving relationship for good.

Mariel, I recently purchased your book, Healthy Living from the Inside Out. I love the book. In this crazy world we find ourselves in it is nice to find a book which encourages self discovery and asks us to take time out of our busy life to just be. It is so important that we connect with our environment and nourish our spiritual selves. Thank you for your contribution.

I really enjoyed your post. I am a mother of two (20 and 17), so different and so alike, but I love them the same, like you said they are my sunshine and my moonlight. I wish I could say the same for their Dad. He prefers the oldest one, he doesn't see how precious the little one is. Thank you again!

P.S. We were divorced when they were 5 and 2

Dear Mariel, glad to find you on Twitter and here. You offered a good view of the Twitter experience - thanks. My addiction, too, has eased off. I still Tweet almost daily for my stepfamily clients and friends, but it's more of an outreach for me to help families than a "social network" of pals. Besides reaching out to others, I use Twitter to gain valuable information from others for my families - yours is often some of the choicest - thanks again!

In response to america in a problem with over processed food and drinks I agree. I am a Mother with two children they are 4 and6 well everywhere we go someone has soda or caprie sun or sunny delight drink. Ussaly some sort of pottaoe chip , I do not I have organic juice but they ussaly are offered water first and sometimes selzer they are happy. I was makeing a nut meal and otameal cookie for the kids before I read your recipe for blissicuts they eat them no problem. I belive thoe that the chemicails that are used in soaps and dishwashing deterents and cleaning supilies are also to blame for mood swings alergies and skin problems . I have eliminated most and truned to useing vingar baking soda and lemon and other natural ingredents to clean in reagard to other stuff armoatheaphy and oils are famoulous for treating body aliments even for the children. I have yet to meet another Mother in my area who does any of this.My own family thinks we live like hippies. I would not know I was not around during that era. I donot drink and donot smoke.

I enjoyed your post so much. I follow you on Twitter and as a counselor, teacher and advocate of a holistic environment, lifestyle and Energy awareness and movement. I envy you so much in your ability to MAKE it all work for you. If I didn't have clients and friends counting on me to live the way I spout that they should live, I'm not sure I could be so strong. But you, Mariel, show me that it's possible. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing all of this with all of us.
